The National Account Manager, Walmart will manage either our Core Collectibles portfolio at both Walmart and Sam’s Club or will manage the Impulse and Seasonal portfolio for Walmart. In this role you will coordinate marketing efforts, product launches and sales promotions to achieve sales and profit objectives while building excellent partnerships both with the Walmart team and our external Licensing partners. This is a hybrid role with three days in the NWA office.

What You’ll Do

  • Builds Retail Strategies/Programs with the world’s largest retailer.
  • Potential to manage someone as part of the wider team, lead and develop them to support the account sales revenue
  • Analyzes POS and industry trends to suggest product updates
  • Understands S&OP process to drive customer focused sales and build healthy product mix
  • Utilize sales and inventory reports to identify licenses and products to solicit to the merchant
  • Participate in continued education/training to learn about new and existing product lines and improve sales techniques; be a trusted advisor on all things Funko.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Create and deliver presentations tailored to Walmart and Funko’s long-term business needs.
  • Consistently meet quarterly quota and revenue targets
  • Define distribution and retail strategy to support commercial development with Walmart and Sam’s Club
  • Analyze market trends including Circana data for the development and performance of sales strategies
  • Establish sales targets, designing and implementing sales strategies to meet the targets and mapping the portfolio to identify new opportunities
  • Partner in the organization and execution of Funko’s portfolio of client-level campaigns from conception, evaluation, target definition and creative content specification to coordination of all aspects of execution
  • Briefing and coordination of creative content creation for campaigns and promotional activities with an OMNI POV
  • Actively participate in the sales cycle to bring leadership and strategic support to large deals
  • Forecasting activity to ensure appropriate inventory levels and recurring monthly revenue achievement
  • Support national events and trade shows

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-6 years’ experience in a Sales or Account Management role
  • Required 2 years’ experience in a consumer product company selling direct to large corporations
  • Knowledge of collectible/toy/CPG industry and customer trends strongly preferred
  • Out of the box thinker; creative and strategic mindset
  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Proven experience in leading and facilitating strategic conversations at C-level
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining attention to details
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized and efficient time management skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Ability to provide reports to management on customer’s needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Ability to travel 10-15 times a year
  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems preferred (MS Dynamics NAV)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Walmart systems including Retail Link, NOVA, and Item360
  • Understanding of S&OP process to drive customer focused sales and build healthy product mix.
  • History of successful conflict-resolution and de-escalation of issues with customers.
  • Project-oriented, pro-active, creative and self-motivated work style.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Salary InformationThe base salary range for this position in the selected city is $90,610 – $110,500 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), and restricted stock units.

This position is ideally based in Rogers, Arkansas (NWA Office)
