MWR Regional Digital Marketing Specialist – Broadway Complex

Summary

Working under the general supervision of the Regional Marketing Directors, the primary objectives of this position are to administer and guide the comprehensive marketing program for the N9 program. The incumbent provides marketing support to local program managers and coordinates the services of the Marketing Office.

Duties

  • Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, app and display promotional campaigns.
  • Design, build and maintain the FFR social media presence.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPI).
  • Identifies trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Research new and creative growth strategies.
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create website landing pages and optimize user experience.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Produce digital media content for the purpose of expanding and showcasing FFR’s online footprint. These media include videos, audio/podcast, photos, infographics, as well as content specifically produced for posting on FFR Facebook Page, Twitter, YouTube channels, and FFR-themed online discussions, and other social media properties.
  • Manage the creation and production of online audio files and podcast.
  • Possesses the skills needed to create content and effectively convey information in a way that informs and persuades audiences.
  • Participates regularly in online FFR communities; monitor information posted; respond appropriately and in a timely manner to correct misunderstandings about FFR and engage participants with FFR materials.
  • Participation is characterized with diplomacy, tact and professionalism; use excellent judgment to respond in a way that provides professional information, without criticism or negativity about information that others post.
  • Serves as the FFR “online media expert” remaining current with emerging trends, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Regularly update colleagues and management on these trends and make recommendations for new activities.
  • Track content creation/social media campaigns and opportunities.
  • Review and compile social media statistics and reports to generated measurable outcomes of online activities.
  • Under the direction of the Regional Marketing Director, works with other FFR staff to develop content ideas based on popular topics and/or frequently asked questions, including content targeted at specific audience.
  • May serve as technical consultant to other FFR departments on projects requiring digital media expertise.
  • Perform digital survey creation, execution, and reporting.

WEB

  • Create and maintain continuity in over-all layout design and content.
  • Develop and post content, photos, and graphics.
  • Ensure that all webmaster email receive timely responses.
  • Monitor site information, including links, to ensure it remains timely and accurate.
  • Track site usage and report on internet presence as needed/requested.
  • Coordinates with the website hosting company to maintain high availability, maximum bandwidth, sufficient disk space, minimize security risks, and maintain other necessary technologies for the website.
  • Continuously research web development to identify, evaluate, and implement the newest internet technologies into the website.
  • Plan for regular updates of pages to maintain timeliness of data.
  • Perform all day-to-day maintenance of web pages, assuring pages and changes are referenced in all major search engines, and respond to email about pages.
  • Review, spell-check and error check all content prior to and after release to maintain high level of quality of the pages.
  • Develop content, i.e. pages, links, data information and required disclaimers.
  • Register Domain Names as needed and renew registration with InterNIC as needed.
  • Determine placement of all new information submitted by program areas.
  • Ensure that all aspects of website remain in compliance with all pertinent guidelines regulation.
  • Provide support and subject matter expertise to the management of FFR’s online registration program (WebTac). This includes; html coding assistance, navigation management, and usability recommendations.

Marketing

  • Manages the marketing of FFR online presence via both digital and print mediums. This includes, but is not limited to the marketing of FFR website, social media presence, email marketing program, online registration program (WebTrac) and App.
  • Serves as backup to other department marketing specialist on an as-needed basis.

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for the position.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of file and conversion techniques of the following software: Java, Java Script, HTML, DHTML, Active Server Pages, Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash, various imaging software in the construction of web pages.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Windows XP and 7.
  • Display knowledge of the range of activities and services within the region, of customer interest and needs, and of the methods and processes involved in a large military recreation program, which knowledge enables the employee to plan, and conduct diversified and enhanced online services; knowledge of survey techniques; and knowledge of community program and services.
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotional techniques for effective advertising and dissemination of program information.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining vendor relationships between military activities and organizations and the civilian community, so that effective and diplomatic communications are maintained, orally and in writing, which ensure the highest level of customer and vendor goodwill.
  • Skilled in effectively organizing and utilizing all available resources within the program framework.
