What will you be doing in your role?
- Conduct comprehensive intakes and assessment of client needs, cultural adjustment, and barriers to employment and assists in the removal of these barriers.
- CM assesses to determine the barriers to employment and to discover the clients’ job skills, as well as other case management needs such as personal and family adjustment, finances, food, clothing, housing, and health
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized service plans with each client; by monitoring and evaluating client progress towards set goals and adjusts plans as necessary with clients.
- Assists clients in acquiring the necessary soft skills to effectively participate in finding and retaining employment.
- Network with employers, build positive relationships within the business community, and provide cultural orientation to employers about refugee populations.
- Helps client to identify, establish relationships with, and/or expand existing social network, social service providers, churches, and refugee community representatives to enhance household functioning and integration into the community.
- Empowers client towards cultural acquisition and comprehension of the new community through an understanding of self, personal situation, and client’s responsibility for adjusting to new life in local community.
Are you the next Match Grant Case Manager?
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
- Preferred 2 years’ experience in similar role
- Familiarity with refugee populations and their needs
- Bilingual skills in a common client language preferred
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license, and evidence of auto liability insurance
- Must be willing to drive agency vehicles as well as personal vehicle for job purposes.
