Job Summary

The Marketing Specialist for the Gene Therapy CDMO business will play an integral role in the strategic development, deployment, and maintenance of impactful strategic marketing for the Charles River gene therapy portfolio. This position is responsible for developing and enhancing impactful, resonating content and collateral through commercial and marketing channels.

Essential Responsibilities
• Create, develop, and maintain marketing collateral and content to drive portfolio growth. Work closely and collaboratively with scientific and commercial teams to ensure strategic alignment.
• Enhance and optimize the web experience through best practices, content development, and marketing technology tools.
• Develop and launch high performing email campaigns through various internal and external marketing channels.
• Routinely collaborate and seek feedback from business development, scientific and technical stakeholders.
• Have continual awareness of the dynamic cell and gene therapy drug development market for opportunities in how and where Charles River can deliver value through its offerings.
• Conduct competitor content analysis and provide meaningful insights that can deliver new advancements in creating blogs, articles, and white papers.
• Work and maintain a cooperative relationship with the sales team to optimize the conversion to sales qualified leads when outside of scope, domain, or function.
• Develop content for high-performing web pages with conversion and SEO strategies, dedicated landing pages, and editorial content marketing.
• Collaborate and assist with event marketing and strategic marketing on virtual and in-person event logistics and management. (webinars, seminars, workshops)
• Ensure a competent and professional image to the customer and an accurate portrayal of business strategies both on the phone, email and at customer events.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all company product lines with more in-depth knowledge of business segment that is being supported.
• Work with CDMO marketing team to continually enhance specific materials with direction.
• Manage translations activities where required.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) in Marketing, Business, Life Science or a related field. Advanced degree a plus.
  • Experience 2 to 4 years related experience in marketing or life science related position.
  • Strong Marketing background required.
  • Cell and gene therapy market experience desired, but not necessary.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute.

Technical Skills

  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/social media etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects, digital marketing experience and inbound marketing skills
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (CRM)
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and applications

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $65K – $80K USD. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.”
