Marketing and Referring Veterinarian (rDVM) Outreach Coordinator
Job Description:
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to increase the clinical caseload, supporting teaching/training objectives and the fiscal solvency of the University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals. Analyze service-specific trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities for caseload growth and implement targeted strategies accordingly. Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in veterinary marketing and outreach, applying this knowledge to refine strategy and stay ahead of the curve.
- Build relationships with referring veterinarians, veterinary clinics, and corporate/external sponsorships, establishing a network of trusted partnerships to drive referrals and promote collaboration. Collaborate with the hospital’s communications team to develop compelling marketing materials, both online and offline, including brochures, newsletters, website content, and social media campaigns. Represent the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital at professional conferences and industry events, acting as a brand ambassador and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders. Provide exceptional support and resources to referring veterinarians and clients, promptly addressing their needs, inquiries, and concerns to ensure a seamless experience.
- Manages hospital website and other social media as communication tools for the veterinary hospitals. Responsibilities include oversight of website content and update pages, client information, and referring veterinarian information and measurement of website traffic; creating forms and working closely with services to optimize resulting workflow; communicating with RDVMs regarding operations updates and patient portal.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including faculty, clinicians, and staff, to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns and initiatives that resonate with the target audience.
- Plan and coordinate outreach events, conferences, and seminars, leveraging these platforms to enhance the reputation of the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital and increase visibility among the veterinary community. Examples include the Annual Open House for UFVH, pet owner expos, Healthy Horses Conference, 4-H clubs, alum groups, educational seminars, and RDVM Day.
- Coordinates the preparation and distribution of referral guides, literature, surveys, pamphlets, brochures, and hospital newsletters as printed materials and e-mailers; creates content for virtual delivery, issues certificates, and maintains a database for state license auditors.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and outreach efforts, using key metrics and data analysis to measure success and guide decision-making for continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records of referring veterinarian interactions, referral patterns, and client feedback, utilizing a system to track and manage relationships effectively. Stay knowledgeable about the hospital’s services, capabilities, and advancements in veterinary medicine, effectively communicating the unique value propositions to referring veterinarians and clients.
- Manages strategic plan for caseload development and all related budgets.
Expected Salary:
$70,000.00 – $80,000.00 annually
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in veterinary marketing or outreach preferred.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and hospital services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop strategies for caseload growth.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
