Position Schedule. Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Remote Status. This position can be hybrid with a majority of work completed remotely, occasional (up to weekly) in-person meetings, and City events as required.
About the position:
Assists with the development, implementation and evaluation of public relations and marketing programs for assigned departments.
Examples of Essential Duties
- Develops a consistent and professional brand for the City
- Implements strategic marketing plans, programs and materials
- Creates and designs marketing materials and program guides
- Develops illustrations, logos, and other designs
- Writes and designs social media posts and graphics
- Edits and creates content for the City’s website and newsletters
- Writes and edits program descriptions, articles and marketing materials
- Responds to questions and concerns about City programs
- Provides support for events; take photos and videos
- Performs related work as required.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, marketing, digital arts, communications, or related field and
- One to three years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or related work or
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
