Position: Manager, Transaction Management / Strategic Alliances

The Impact
o Work alongside sales, product and legal stakeholders to support licensing and distribution of MI’s products and services across various vendors, service providers and other key strategic partners.
o Contribute to the creation of licensing/governance framework for S&P’s Market Intelligence division (MI), including commercial policies, best practices policies, documents, and workflows. In doing so, collaborate with the greater Strategic Alliances team, sales, product and business development leads, account managers, and marketing and legal teams.
o Build, create, and maintain metric reports based on data generated via internal tools, workflows, and Salesforce.
o Assist in the execution, management, and maintenance of internal technical applications and tools used for partnering process enablement.

Responsibilities:
o The candidate will act as a facilitator for redistribution and other partner/channel management licensing opportunities. The candidate will be developed to evaluate, structure, draft and negotiate term sheets and, with senior guidance, agreements with vendors, service providers and partners.
o This position will require analysis and workflow prioritization across a large book of business.

What We’re Looking For:
o 3+ years in partnerships, financial services, software/technology/data/professional services, and/or information technology ecosystem.
o Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
o Ability to challenge the status-quo tactfully and competently.
o An individual who excels in detail-oriented tasks while still grasping big picture goals and values.
o Ability to learn key contracting principles, intellectual property licensing frameworks, transaction lifecycles, draft templates and negotiate transaction proposals and agreements.
o Ability to balance protection of MI’s IP with advancement of creative partnership opportunity, revenue generation and business growth.
o Drive to proactively identify and resolve complex problems.
o Initiative to prioritize and execute on a high volume of inquiries (both from internal and external sources).
o Highly motivated individual capable of both self-direction and team collaboration.
o Undergrad degree required. Candidates with partnership experience and/or legal education or experience given preference.
o Preferred experience includes partnership program building and facilitation, sales enablement, product management, legal, and/or content teams. Experience and grasp for servicing global clients.

Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is up to $140K. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
