Manager Sales Planning

Job Description:

You Will:

  • Responsible for day to day management of planning team members ensuring their ability to hit deadlines and complete daily, weekly and monthly deliverables
  • Coordinate with senior planning manager in career development and coaching of planning team members
  • Serve as resource in support of the governance process for the vertical planning team members
  • Support team members in responding to client requests
  • Serve as a resource to the planning team during the media plan development process
  • Collaborate with the senior planning manager and planning director to identify resource challenges within the vertical.
  • Partner with senior planning manager on onboarding and ongoing training of associate planners and planners
  • Solid understanding of Dow Jones product offering and operational capabilities
  • Help team members understand how they can successfully identify and mitigate problems before they occur. Team should develop skills to troubleshoot viewability, fraud, discrepancies, and more.

Continue to excel within Sales Planning Responsibilities for select accounts including:

  • Work with sales to provide proposal ideas and inventory solutions that best meet the client expectations and proposal objectives while maintaining pricing integrity and inventory package strategy
  • Produce sales proposals in order management system leveraging yield tools required
  • Reserve campaigns in order management system once deal is approved
  • Coordinate with the sales and ad ops teams to launch campaigns, and execute client optimizations so that revenue is maintained and balanced with client goals
  • Utilize historical data to support strategic decisions in the creation of new programs

You Have:

  • 3-5 years working with an online advertising operations or planning team
  • Experience using one or more internet ad serving system and order management systems (i.e. GAM, Operative, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person, over email and on the phone
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated
  • Strong computer applications skills (Excel, Word)
  • BA/BS College degree preferred

Pay Range: $65,000 – $200,000
