MANAGER, SALES OPERATIONS & FULFILLMENT

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Sales Operations & Fulfillment is responsible for managing the overall delivery of Association client benefits. Duties include coordinating with business development, research, education, marketing and other departments to ensure deadlines and deliverables are achieved and overall fulfillment of client benefits. This role is critical to the success of the Association and relationship management with suppliers. This position will have daily interactions with association staff both foreign and domestic, board members and senior level executives within the business travel industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in conjunction with marketing and sales teams to create sponsor prospectus.
  • Assist in lead generation and work with existing sponsorship partners in elevating their participation with the GBTA.
  • Manage and track fulfillment of all in-person, print, media promotion, and digital sponsorship deliverables.
  • Nurture relationships with sponsorship partners by providing excellent customer service to ensure on-time execution of deliverables.
  • Responsible for collection, organization, storing, and proper usage of company logos and images for use including, but not limited to marketing materials, social media, websites, presentations, and displays.
  • Act as the on-site point of contact for sponsors at events and meetings.
  • Manage the gathering of client data analytics and production for reporting.
  • Manage and support event logistics and sales opportunities and provide updates on sponsorship fulfillment status.
  • Coordinate with Sales Ops Team to ensure accuracy of products and pricing in Salesforce.
  • Maintain partner database with current contact information in Salesforce.
  • Manage Sales Fulfillment Team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, project management, or related field
  • 3-5 years marketing, sales operations, association or business development experience.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with teams spread across multiple locations and geographic regions including working with remote employees.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Teams.
  • Working knowledge of SalesForce and Project Management tools.
  • Positive attitude, strong written and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent planning and organization skills to support brand objectives.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Association and/or travel industry knowledge preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to contribute.
  • Experience with MapYourShow, Airtable, and CVENT.
  • Multi-lingual is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • GBTA is currently fully remote.
  • Prolonged periods sitting/remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to remain stationary and move for long periods of time, during events.
  • May be asked to show proof of vaccination and booster against COVID-19 in order to attend group functions and meetings.
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate various meetings and events.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Up to 15% of travel to events and meetings; based on organizational needs.
  • Travel to Annual Convention, related events, and meetings, as required.
