JOB SUMMARY

Our design team is looking for great storytellers, passionate designers who can skillfully combine a creative mindset with strategic thinking.

At the project level, a successful Interior Design Manager provides design guidance via informal and formal reviews thru the lens of the brand and ensures that design standards are adhered to both programmatically and for quality. Candidates will work on both franchised and managed deals with internal and external stakeholders, fostering relationships in an atmosphere of collaboration, providing value to our owners, and achieving on strategy solutions. This is a unique opportunity to position yourself directly in the creation of the Lifestyle Brands with a primary focus on Westin, Le Meridien, Renaissance, and the soft branded collections of Autograph Collection and Tribute Portfolio.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • May manage design staff.
  • May function as project manager, guiding work of team, or manage a program.
  • Serves as content leader on project.
  • Participates in establishing direction of brand design.
  • Selects and manages interior design consultants.
  • Develops and maintains liaison with all appropriate divisions, departments, and owners.
  • Responsible for awareness of interior design project budget and coordinating staff requirement with other business groups.
  • Provides project updates using tools to track and report status.
  • Presents and sells design to senior level executives and owners.
  • Reviews and/or develops interior design concepts.
  • May provide field input to product development group.
  • May manage project workload in support of brand or business unit growth goals.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 4-year degree from in a related design discipline is required; an accredited Interior Design program preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in the design field, preferably in the hospitality design industry
  • NCIDQ certificate preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $81,525.00to $174,271.00 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $81,525.00 to $158,430.00 annually.

New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $98,644.00 to $174,271.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $81,525.00 to $174,271.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0. 0577 hour for every hour worked to be used toward PTO/Sick Leave. Employees are expected to receive 8 holidays per year.
