Position Summary
The Daniels Graduate Student Services department seeks a Manager to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This position is an exciting opportunity for an organized multi-tasker that is motivated by details and providing exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff.
Graduate Student Services is responsible for academic advising, onboarding, and other programs to support student experience and success. As the Manager, you will oversee academic operations which includes course scheduling, classroom assignments, and graduation reporting. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Student Services, this role also requires support of other key functions of the department including orientation planning and management of day-to-day office operations. You will liaise and support academic advisors, faculty, staff, and graduate students.
Overall Job Responsibilities:
Academic Operations: Oversee annual course scheduling process for the College including classroom assignments, course fees, and enrollments.
Reporting: Generate reports for graduation reviews, graduation and hood ceremonies, and degree certifications.
Office Management: Order supplies, manage classroom space for non-academic events, and submit facilities and IT requests as needed.
Orientation and Event Planning: Secure locations, order catering and supplies, coordinate facilities and IT support, and organize set-up and clean-up.
Other: Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Graduate Academic Services.
Essential Functions
Course Scheduling
- Working with academic departments, enter and verify quarterly schedule in Banner to ensure accuracy of course schedules including enrollments and faculty assignments.
- Create new courses to ensure smooth registration process.
- Ensure course fees are attached to appropriate classes.
- Assign classrooms to ensure enrollment and accessibility requests are met.
Orientation and Event Planning
- Working with academic advisors and departments, provide logistics support for on campus orientation programs
- Provide additional event support for commencement and hood ceremonies.
- Assist with classroom requests for non-academic events and activities. Maintain strong vendor and stakeholder relationships.
Operational/Administrative Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute reports for graduation reviews and certifications.
- Consolidate graduation certifications and program edits.
- Manage graduate studio and submit facilities requests as needed.
- Provide administrative support for general office activities such as ordering supplies, updating calendar, and coordinating with other departments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Self-motivated with proven ability to manage and complete tasks with minimal direction
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to include listening, speaking, and writing thoughtfully and clearly with students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and manage various requests
- Professional and personable with a commitment to the principles of diversity, inclusion, and equity and the ability to describe the values associated with these principles
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of professional experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proven track record of driving projects with accuracy and to completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Banner or other student database systems
Working Environment
1. Standard office environment.
2. Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
3. Noise level is quiet to moderate.
Physical Activities
1. Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
2. Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
Work Schedule
Typically Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:30, nights and weekends as necessary.

The salary grade for the position is 8.
Hourly Range:
The hourly range for this position is $25.54-$28.10.
