Job Description:
Manager – Business Development and Marketing, Commerce
The Manager – Business Development & Marketing will be responsible for supporting WSJ revenue streams across business development, commercial partnerships, marketing and comms. This is a highly collaborative role that will interact closely across multiple Dow Jones business units in order to execute marketing campaigns and form strategic business development partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering successful, hardworking marketing campaigns and business development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and help shape marketing strategy to ensure the team meets company KPIs
- Execute testing strategy to optimize the impact of creative and messaging across platforms
- Support in the development and rollout for campaign assets across print, social, SEM, Display, OOH, sweepstakes
- Support deal negotiations, analyze and grow existing partnerships, and help enter new markets which will drive growth for Dow Jones
- Support the management of the day-to-day operations and growth of existing and new branded businesses such as WSJ Wine
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business
- Ability to be nimble and adaptable to change when priorities shift
- An interest in news and media, particularly in emerging technologies and trends in the industry
- Understanding and expertise of marketing, including developing brands through awareness and consideration and leveraging content to drive traffic, acquisition and engagement
- Excellent project manager able to keep teams to a tight deadline and manage stakeholders at all levels across the business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage workload effectively in a fast paced environment
- College degree (or equivalent), preferably in marketing, communications, or a business discipline.
- 5 -7 years working experience in media preferred

Pay Range: $50,000 – $180,000
