The Manager, Ad Sales Collections is responsible for managing the Cash Collection activities for all Paramount Global Cable Networks Domestic Ad Sales, Ancillary & Related Party. While performing this task, the Collections Manager will ensure that the team collects payments from our customers (using different collection methods / techniques) to maximize cash flow and minimize the aged debt. The Manager, Ad Sales Collections is a key player in the organization and is also responsible for supporting other areas within account receivables functions including cash application, reporting and functions relating to AR Close. This role is based in the Order-To-cash (OTC) Global Accounting Operations organization based in New York
Responsibilities
The duties of a Collections Manager are to coordinate the collections efforts of the team, manage the collections of outstanding debts for Ad Sales, Ancillary & Related Parties and ensure the timely and efficient performance of the below tasks:
- Direct reports of 5 staff, handling Ad Sales, Ancillary & Related Party Collections Portfolio
- Contacting customers for the prompt collection or resolution of the aged receivables using email, telephone calls, client visits
- Keeping adequate records of call contacts with customers
- Ability to analyze data, trends and prepare KPI’s
- Performing follow-ups on accounts with significant aging or past due amounts
- Establish strong, effective & collaborative relationships with Ad Sales to resolve discrepancies
- Work closely with Working Capital Manager to align in discrepancy resolution efforts
- Managing & Solving customer disputes (ensuring proper communication with markets & stakeholders)
- Meeting individual cash collection targets (Aging, DSO, % of Overdue, etc..)
- Preparing weekly and monthly reporting to Director
- Providing the management team with periodic cash forecast projections for Ad Sales, Ancillary & Related Party
- Supporting the Cash Application team in the account reconciliation process (addressing cash application issues and following-up with customers on missing documentation & remittances)
- Providing detailed backup explanation of AR balances to both internal & external auditors.
- Supporting customers ad-hoc requests (statement of accounts, invoice copies, backup documentation, accounts reconciliations, etc..)
- Performing other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable /Collections function
- Partnership with sales to resolve discrepancies
- Oversee & Review discrepancy tracker and daily performance
- Oversee and Review discrepancy and sales package
- Prepare various collection and metric reports for upper management
- Provide credit team with accounts that require escalation and revaluation
- Providing immediate escalation of any concerns such as changes in the customers payment trends (behavior)
- Working closely with various departments, playing an active role during month end close activities
- Ensuring that Accounts Receivable ledgers are properly managed
- Lead meetings
- Conduct annual performance developments with all direct reports
- Act as a single point of reference for the team, usually being the last point of contact for any contentious issues relating to Collections activities
- Train & Onboard new team members
- Create inclusive work environment through Coaching, Developing & guiding team members
- Ability to prepare presentations and material for Management
- Driving continuous improvement process
- Work within a team environment to achieve common goals
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, A focus in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred, but not required.
- 5+ years of related experience
Additional Requirements
- ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and general knowledge of accounting principles is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
- Strong oral, written, interpersonal communications, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate the ability to be a great teammate and possess strong work ethic and integrity
- Self-motivated and innovative with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 – 107,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
