Pay Range
$6,200.00 – $7,520.00 Monthly for the 705.2 level
$5,380.00 – $7,372.00 Monthly for the 712 level
This position is under a step structure. Please note that the step placement is determined by your most recent completed academic year.
Job Description
We have one opening for a graduate student for a student who has received a bachelor’s or master’s degree with expertise in business or management information systems to engage in practical research experience to further their educational goals. This opportunity is in the Business Directorate and will partner with the Office of Laboratory Oversight (OLO). You will delve into document management initiatives that span across the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s scientific, engineering, and national security organizations.
In this role, you will
- Analyze and diagram current business practices for managing institutional policy and procedure documents.
- Map document metadata fields to master documentation index.
- Consolidate data fields into Microsoft SharePoint list using application programming interface (API) tools, such as the Representational State Transfer (REST).
- Gather and analyze data and information in support of document control initiatives.
- May prepare end-of-assignment technical report, seminar, or poster.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing a graduate degree or has completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business, Operations Research, or other related field.
- Knowledge regarding mapping business processes.
- Knowledge of hypertext markup language (HTML) and data integration using an application programming interface (API).
- Ability to communicate and document work.
- Ability to present and communicate concepts and ideas.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
