Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Management Analyst – Strategy Planning & Business Development.

The Management Analyst will conduct analytical and market analyses and provide project management support to address some of the NYU Langone Health Systems most challenging problems and exciting opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Supports SPBD Managers, Senior Managers, Assistant Directors, Directors, Senior Directors, and AVP in the successful planning and execution of multiple projects for a variety of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
    • Performs a wide portfolio of complex quantitative and qualitative analyses (e.g. operational, financial, market).
    • Utilizes project management tools in the development of project plans, business plans, monitoring progress, and supporting project teams.
    • Provides support for projects including crafting agendas, identifying key decisions, and tracking action items.
    • Carries out major assignments in conducting the operations of his or her project including being involved in relevant planning long- or short-term business objectives.
    • Develops applicable process and outcome metrics to measure project success.
    • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in comparing and evaluating options and approaches to analyses or project management, including possible courses of conduct, and acting or making a decision after the various possibilities have been considered.
    • Synthesizes complex information to communicate project deliverables and recommendations to senior management. Provides consultation or expert advice to senior management on his or her projects.
    • Formulates, interprets, and implements management policies or operating practices on his or her assigned projects.
    • Builds and promotes positive working relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise.
    • Manages and oversees the work of Interns (as required).

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a 1-3 years of progressive experience in an operational or strategic planning role. Experience with financial modeling and data analysis. Knowledge of project management tools, methods, and best practices. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred candidates will also be knowledgeable in in Tableau, Visio, Access, and Decision Support reporting programs. Strong written and oral communication skills applicable to a wide variety of audiences. Ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgment, and independent thinking in selecting the optimal course of action.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
A graduate degree, preferably in health care administration, business administration, public health, or the equivalent years of experience, is preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.84 – $103,906.40 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
