How you’ll make a difference:
The Machine Shop Technician will assist in the manufacturing process, primarily in the support of 3D prototype printing initiatives and post-processing of machined parts.
Your key responsibilities:
- Layout, prepare, print, unload, and post-process 3D printed models on several machine platforms.
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
- Perform dimensional inspections of machined parts per the engineering drawing which includes visual inspections, use of standard gauges, and any test equipment that may be required.
- Ability to learn secondary operations such as: Cleaning and deburring of machined parts.
- Heat treatment of metals and verifying hardness using test equipment.
- Laser marking
- Bead blasting
- Passivation
- Ultrasonic cleaning
- Assembly of components.
- Perform periodic preventative maintenance on any shop machinery.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop, including 5’s practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Willingness to work overtime and work a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
- Ability to perform all tasks in a professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 0-2 years of experience in a machine shop environment preferable in a highly regulated industry
- Ability to collaborate and problem solve with others
- Proficient in using computer and Microsoft office products
- Knowledge of 3D printing software and machine set-up
- Ability to demonstrate comprehension of highly complex processes and ability to learn new tasks
- Certificate in manufacturing machinist technology is preferred. Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing preferred
The anticipated base hourly rate for an employee who is located in California this position is $18.67 to $21.50 per hour, plus bonus, and benefits. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc. The Company is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect the pay scale for an employee who works in other states or locations.
