Our legal team seeks an experienced Litigation Manager who can support Netflixs global litigation team by identifying opportunities for, building and maintaining workflows and tools to assist the litigation team in managing workloads, identifying trends, analyzing risks, controlling costs and preparing reports required by securities and other laws.
Based in either Los Angeles or Los Gatos, this is a fast-paced role that requires curiosity and significant initiative. The role requires vision and strategic thinking around data management, insights, and workflows. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain budget and litigation trackers;
- Develop and implement processes for receiving, analyzing, responding to and tracking third party subpoenas and other information requests;
- Create and implement processes for preparing litigation reports, including quarterly reports required for audit and financial reporting;
- Identify opportunities for automated information solutions, leveraging pre-existing data and reducing manual data entry/unnecessary replication of data;
- Formulate, interpret and implement litigation management policies and operating practices;
- Carry out and be involved in major short- and long-term assignments in conducting business operations and objectives,
- Review, assess and set established litigation policies and procedures;
- Legal research and writing, including preparing correspondence, pleadings, discovery responses and affidavits;
- Conduct background research, investigation and interviews;
- Work closely with internal partners and external teams;
- Collaborate and provide backup to other legal professionals in litigation and Core legal team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 7 years of experience in a corporate, tech or law firm environment.
- High level of proficiency in building complex bases in Airtable, and fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, and Google Suite. Experience with Googles Data Analytics platform.
- Paralegal certificate strongly preferred.
- Operations experience, including design of workflows, systems, tooling, and data dashboards.
- Experience managing complex and sometimes ambiguous projects, with a broad set of stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work across borders with multicultural EQ.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under tight timeframes across multiple deadlines with a high attention to detail.
- Proficient knowledge of state and federal litigation practices and procedures, including discovery, dispositive motion and trial procedures
- Experience with litigation involving single plaintiff, complex action, class action, arbitration and pre-litigation matters
- LexisNexis, bluebook legal authorities and evidentiary cites
- Wicked sense of humor.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $80,000 – $325,000.
