Position Summary

Our Wisconsin story begins in 1962 in Medford, where two brothers, Ron and Joe Simek, started serving pizza to their patrons at the Tombstone Tap (so named because it faced the local cemetery). The pizzas were an instant success, and the brothers began freezing and selling them to local businesses out of their 1959 Cadillac. And thus, Tombstone Pizza was born. In 2010, we welcomed them into the Nestlé family, and ever since, Nestlé has deepened its ‘hometown’ roots in Wisconsin: from purchasing milk products from local dairy farmers to producing product for over 15 brands in facilities across the state.

We are hiring Line Operators at Nestlé’s Medford manufacturing facility who will directly contribute to the production of household pizza brands known and loved by American families.

We are seeking candidates for 2nd and 3rd shifts, Monday-Friday working 8 hour shifts.

Pay:

  • $20.50/hr. base rate, 2nd shift premium $1.50/hr, 3rd shift premium $3.00/hr
  • $1.25/hr. increase after 6 months

As a Production Line Operator, you play a key role in our manufacturing process. You will support continuous and high-yield production of our pizzas by performing line duties in Bakery and Assembly areas and ensuring that product meets quality standards. Our Nestlé manufacturing facilities provide a safety-first environment and are committed to efficient production processes.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Work in multiple stations between different equipment on Assembly Lines 1-4 and in the Bakery.
• Monitor, inspect and weigh ingredients and product to meet specifications.
• Stack, place and rotate crust. • Maintain good manufacturing practices
• Maintain pace with production and perform line duties efficiently to prevent line shutdowns
• Be able to identify a quality and inferior product per requirements.
• Perform all back up duties as trained and assigned.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop working knowledge of production equipment and operate machinery.

Qualifications

External Requirements and minimum education level:
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic math and reading skills Experience:
• Manufacturing or production experience preferred Skills:
• Maintain regular work attendance.
• Good peripheral vision.
• Muscle coordination and finger dexterity.
• Work in a team environment.
• Maintain neat and accurate documentation when required.
