Job Title:
LIMS Developer
Job Duties:
- Support laboratory operations by implementing or recommending software-based solutions that enhance laboratory workflows, operations, data mining, and reporting.
- Analyze, design, and develop software solutions to support laboratory information management system (LIMS) requirements.
- Develop new LIMS functionalities that support the rollout of new assays and technologies.
- Keep updated on new technologies that will offer enhanced support to the systems.
- Enhance implementation based on specific long term extensible system architecture.
- Maintain knowledge of system architecture based on the vision.
- Contribute to the LIMS system documentation following regulatory needs.
- Assist laboratory leadership in defining milestones for the completion of LIMS projects.
- Ensure LIMS requirements are clearly defined and understood by state IT workers and vendors.
- Perform LIMS testing and oversee application testing performed by laboratory staff HIPAA/GDPR.
- Works with Agile/SCRUM processes; Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and SDLC deliverables; Relational and non-relational databases; API design; REST-based API for integration development; at least one user interface framework; JavaScript; TypeScript; Working with a team on application prototypes/wireframes and then implementation; Git; and Requirement analysis.
Work Schedule:
- Number of hours per week: 40 hours per week.
- Daily Work Schedule: Mon – Fri/ 9:00 am – 5:00pm
Education:
U.S. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study
Experience:
1 year of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer. Experience to include, 1 year of experience in:
- Agile/SCRUM processes
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and SDLC deliverables
- Relational and non-relational databases
- API design
- REST-based API for integration development
- at least one user interface framework
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- Working with a team on application prototypes/wireframes and then implementation
- Git
- Requirement analysis
