Life Safety Coordinator

Position Summary:

We are currently hiring a Life Safety Coordinator will beresponsible for managing UHP environmental health and life safety programs in compliance with 1) the development, implementation, and management of the organization safety and security programs and services including but not limited to security, environmental health and safety, fire safety, emergency management, 2) compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations related to the organization safety, and 3) ensuring that day-to-day security, public safety functions, and new initiatives are aligned with the organization’s Strategic Plan. The Life Safety Coordinator will oversee and maintain all operational aspects of UHP Life Safety and Emergency Management to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the organization-wide programs that ensure the environmental safety and security of patients, visitors, associates and others present at UHP.

Incumbent must be available to work onsite, working Tuesday through Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree with 3-5 years of facilities management experience required OR Bachelor’s with 2 years.
  • Ability to obtain the F-89 FLSD license within 6 months.
  • 3-5 years of overall facilities management experience required.
  • Have previous experience working with EMR, Sentact reporting and EC/Facility compliance reporting.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of environmental, safety regulations and standards, fire and non-fire safety compliance, issues and results.
  • Must complete the requirements for FDNY and CHCANYS trainings and drills enterprise wide.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Key Duties:

  • Perform and report on the finding of Life Safety Inspections for the sites.
  • Perform plan reviews of fire and life safety.
  • Maintain Emergency Management Manual, including annual re-evaluation and development.
  • Monitor surveillance and security at the sites.
  • Sign in to the fire log books daily.
  • Compliance checks throughout UHP.

Starting Compensation: Minimum $70,000 per year; Maximum $70,000 per year
