Arbol is seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented associate to join our team! The ideal candidate will be excited to research, recommend, and implement new processes and best practices for Arbol’s Legal and HR teams. You’ll be a key player on the legal team, supporting our General Counsel and Assistant General Counsels, as well as our Legal Operations Manager. This role will include managing the workflow of legal documents, including utilizing templates to create, verify, and send legal documents. In addition, you’ll own a variety of legal operations processes, including keeping track of trade lifecycles and reporting on our trades. This role also involves supporting day-to-day HR work for the Head of People. You’ll be managing onboarding and offboarding processes, answering incoming employee questions, staying up to date with HR-related legislation and trends, and creating reports, documentation and templates.

What You’ll Be Doing

    • Managing the workflow, creation, sending, and tracking of standard form legal documents for both internal and external parties
    • Electronically compiling, organizing, and filing legal, HR, and trade documents
    • Corresponding with vendors and third parties, including calling and electronic reporting
    • Assist with the onboarding of new hires, including sending background checks and welcome emails, and processing hires through HRIS and other systems
    • Creating documentation and checklists for HR processes and policies
    • Answering tier 1 employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, and policies

What You’ll Need

    • 2-4 years of experience supporting legal, HR, or operational teams or executives
    • Excellent attention to detail and organization
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite products
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements and technologies

What’s Great to Have

    • Experience with legal documentation and best practices
    • Experience building administrative processes and automation
    • Experience using ADP, Lever, or 15Five

$50,000 – $75,000 a year

This role is non-exempt and paid hourly. The hourly rate will correspond with the salary above.

The salary range above is for New York City applicants only. Candidates in other areas will be considered for the role at a $50,000 – $65,000 salary band.
