Edina Public Schools is looking for people who are passionate about the role of technology in education, dedicated to a positive customer service experience, and are team centric to fill aposition of Lead Technology Support Specialist.

The Lead Technology Support Specialistis responsible for providing coaching, support, and second level escalation related to building technology needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in computer technology or a closely related field
  • Three years of technical helpdesk or technical support experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Possess current industry certifications relevant to this position such as Microsoft, Google Workspace, Apple or other device management solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees, visitors, and outside providers
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with device management and software deployment tools
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply technical documentation
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow district and school policies and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Work performed in a typical school environment.
  • Must be willing and able to work in the following conditions: indoor, outdoor, noisy, constant interruptions.
  • Must be willing to travel between district buildings.
  • Valid Driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle to travel between district sites.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A+ Certification and or/other industry standard certifications or degrees.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and/or training personnel.
  • Familiarity with technology tools used in an educational institution
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple operating systems and productivity tools
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, networking technologies, wireless technologies, printers, network user and group management, Internet technologies, computer programming for basic scripts

Daily Schedule : M -F 7.30 am -3.30 pm

Range of Pay: $4,661-$5,482 monthly depending on previous employment and experience relating to the position
