LAPS Coordinator – Part Time

Job Description & Requirements

The LAPS Coordinator proactively assist Director and Manager of Special Events, LAPS and VIP Services and offers administrative support to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for onsite execution of events and production
  • Hosts Event communication prior to each event
  • Staffs for each event and ensures prospectus revisions are complete and distributed.
  • Processes tickets and VGS forms at the conclusion of event
  • Responsible incident commander for any type of an emergency during an event.
  • Supports management with VIP and LAPS projects
  • Assists with all incoming department calls and provides administrative support
  • Involved with Director on updating the media library
  • Responsible for financial correspondence delivery and LAPS check deposits.
  • Provides bi-weekly updates of Universal Amphitheatre events
  • Assists with Universal City Calendar
  • Participates in employee recognition programs

Desired Characteristics

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and utilize good judgment.
  • Proactive thinker/self-starter and team player.
  • Works well in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
  • Training and knowledge in incident command in the field of Operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of event experience within the Theme Park industry, or relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Must be available to work on weekends, holidays, and nights as required.

The pay rate for this role is $25.00
