Position Description:
The Jr. Software Developer will provide support services for all aspects of the Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution System (DCAPES) software development process, including initial planning, design, software development and coding, prototyping, auditable documentation, testing, and configuration.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Ensure software development will use Agile, test-driven development principles, with robust documentation, user centered design, and an extensible infrastructure.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate system and software changes.
• Maintain application software and COTS software.
• Perform application and system software maintenance.
• Design, develop, test and package changes to system and software.
• Develop, operate, and maintain prototype applications and models to determine optimal solutions.
• Perform system performance tuning and integration services.
• Responsible for the design, testing, deployment and sustainment of systems and application platforms.
• Duties include capturing user requirements; performing coding and data modeling, testing, quality assurance, software configuration management, design, and program documentation; build and deploy, implementation; and maintaining interoperability/integration between systems
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Java 1-3 years
• Spring / Spring Boot 1-3 years
• Html / CSS 1-3 years
• JavaScript 1-3 years
• JQuery 1-3 years
• SQL 1-3 years
• Angular JS 1-3 years
• Java and Database API development to support multiple applications.
• Maven for project management with experience using profiles in Maven.
• Working in multiple versions of application code at the same time.
• Strong understanding in developing Microservices using Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding in using build/deploy tools such as Jenkins for Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment
• Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Already acquired SECRET Security clearance or ability to obtain upon hire.
Desired:
• Excellent interpersonal skills, good presentation, communication.
• The candidate must be a team player, but be able to work independently, as required.
• Work closely with other Core team members to support customer problems and proactively manage the services through patching, migration, and enhanced services.
• Ability to work within an “agile” environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in configuration management tools such as Jira and experience with build automation tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS.
Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US Citizenship.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,400 – $92,600.
