Primary Responsibilities

This position is responsible for effectively and professionally conducting and coordinating the activities associated with primarily procuring materials and equipment. This person will have a good working knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion, project delivery processes, and supplier relationship expectations.

Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Strong understanding of the role of procurement and of this position in the project delivery process.
• Understands the integration of procurement with other project functions, accomplishes value-added expectations, and performs assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Know and understand basic concepts, principles, theories, and compliance requirements applicable to assigned group, subject area or commodity.
• Support with indirect buying, supplier negotiations, and vendor/client relationship building
• Perform other duties as needed.

The expected compensation range for this position is $45,000- $50,000 depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or other applicable major; previous procurement experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable. However, for some posted positions, a degree may be required to meet client or owning group requirement
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite preferred
• Experience with SharePoint preferred
• Previous experience in procurement or other procurement role but not required
• Good analytical skills. Good organization skills required
