Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Albertson’s Brea Distribution Center is seeking a highly productive, detail-oriented individual to help maintain the cleanliness of our refrigerated warehouse.
Salary: Competitive Wages – The pay range is $19 to $28 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for efficiently performing detailed cleaning and sanitizing of dry and refrigerated warehouses and for all phases of overall cleanliness and physical appearance of the Distribution Center.
Responsibilities can include performing standard warehouse cleaning duties, such as:
-Sweeping
-Cleaning up spills
-Operating scrubbing machine
-Removing trash
-Placing cardboard and plastic in recycling machine
-Dusting, detailing, vacuuming, sanitizing
-Waxing, buffing, and stripping floors
-Cleaning restrooms, common areas, and windows
Skills/ Requirements:
Requirements include the willingness and availability to work any shift and in cold temperatures. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
Some housekeeping experience helpful. Familiar with safe use of tools and cleaning products. Must be able to complete scheduled, routine tasks quickly and efficiently without close supervision. Must be capable of operating all cleaning equipment used. Must be capable of climbing stairs, ladders, and working on a stationary ladder.
