Role Overview: IT Project Management Senior Advisor
Manages cross platform initiatives including requirements management, task management, project communications, and project deliverables. This includes all standard project management tasks and deliverables, including, but not limited to, creating and maintaining accurate work breakdown structures, communicating and tracking project risks, issues, milestones, and status, while maintaining scope change control and managing resources across various IT development and infrastructure efforts.
Essential Functions:
- Validate business requirements to determine agreed, achievable project objectives align to business goals, strategies and objectives.
- Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
- Provide leadership and direction to resolve project risks and deliver projects on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
- Design and maintain project documentation and contribute to the continued enhancement of the project management body of knowledge, policies and procedures to ensure ongoing adherences to the highest project management standards and the continued use of best practices.
- Provide status updates on project progress, risks, change management and issue resolution. Lead issue identification, tracking, escalation and resolution documentation. Monitor risk events before becoming issues and potential roadblocks.
- Mentor and assist Project team members as necessary to ensure successful management of company initiatives regardless of direct organizational reporting lines.
- Project management and oversight of assigned IT initiatives and teams.
- Build relationships across platforms and organizations.
- Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to understand and document scope, success criteria, deliverables, resources, budget and timeline.
- Responsible for project budgets and project time tracking accuracy.
- Define requirements, resources and schedules for project/program implementations, including project deliverables, goals and milestones.
Skills & Experience:
- Must possess a strong foundation in project management concepts and life cycles.
- Must have a firm understanding and experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Must possess the ability to discuss complex technical concepts to technical staff, stakeholders and business executives in a simple, straightforward manner.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desired.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of project management or IT management, including scheduling and budgeting experience or equivalent job experience.
- PMP certification, a ScrumMaster (SCM) or ScrumProfessional (CSP) certification a plus.
Location and Hours:
- Local candidates preferred, Franklin, TN.
- Potential for remote role for US candidates with full skillset
- Core hours: 8am-5pm CST
Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
- The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $55.00/hour-$74.00/hour
