Wachter is currently accepting applications for an IT Manager, Support Desk in our Lowell, AR office. This position will lead and manage Wachter IT Service Desk and oversee all IT-related support across the Wachter, Inc organization. This position is currently located in Lowell, AR, however, direct reports may be assigned and working in any of Wachter’s many locations, Lenexa, KS, Mt Laurel, NJ, or remotely.

Requirements:

    • Comparable amount of industry experience in Information technologies.
    • Industry standard certifications helpful (e.g. Microsoft MCSE or comparable).
    • ITIL training is a plus.
    • Familiar with technology and have a background in break/fix support for a Microsoft shop.
    • Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with on-call after-hour support for IT Service Desk team.
    • Travel is not expected; however short trips to corporate headquarters may occur infrequently.
    • Possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    • Must be a critical thinker who can fix and find solutions to obstacles.
    • Successfully lead a very exceptional knowledgeable team.
    • Ensure that escalated issues are resolved quickly.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent planning, organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
    • Substantial analytical skills, able to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
    • Proficient with using smartphones and computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
    • Ability to work well with all groups at Wachter.
    • Understanding of Wachter’s business rules, processes, and day-to-day operations for all companies, divisions, departments, and teams.

Responsibilities:

    • Prepare, maintain, and keep updated IT procedures and documentation related to our processes and platforms operations.
    • Supervise, hire, and train IT Department employees.
    • Primary channel for communicating needs from the business to the Support Desk and will act as a liaison between the IT leadership and business leaders in the Lowell facility.
    • Manage resources and processes required to design, plan, and support all information products and services.
    • Successfully manage remote employees and employees who are working from home.
    • Research and evaluate new technologies to be used as enhancements or upgrades to existing servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure equipment.
    • Support all end-user systems and ensure that critical systems meet required SLAs.
    • Be familiar with all Wachter systems and have a good working knowledge of the Wachter business and processes.
    • Point of contact for various business and IT leaders.
    • Collect, collate, and present metrics that accurately portray the current performance of the Support Desk.
    • Act as the escalation point for critical issues and work towards a resolution.
    • Work with personnel to achieve stated SLAs and OLAs.
    • Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.
    • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
