We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Internal Communications team to create content, help with employee events, and assist with other programs and projects. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and be able to work independently and collaboratively to ensure our systems are functioning efficiently.
As part of the Internal Communications team, you can expect to experience the different functions that make up our team: you’ll be brainstorming and executing events with our Internal Events lead, reporting all things Lucid – think everything from employee profiles to company news to LinkedIn posts – and learning to navigate the Lucid intranet like a pro. On top of learning from the existing team, you’ll get to lead by taking on your own project. It will be a fast-paced, challenging, and fun-filled summer. Role/Responsibilities:
- Create and review content for company intranet and other communication channels
- Assist in crafting social media posts for LinkedIn sharing internal events and programs with current and potential employees
- Responsible for running the digital signage program at our major office locations
- Event support for internal events
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field(s) of study: Communications, Marketing
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Photoshop, and website management is recommended but not required
Program Information
- Timing: May-August, or June-September pending class schedules.
- Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.
- Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Newark, CA, and is fully in-person. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.
- Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable.
- Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization.
- Relocation: One round trip flight to the assigned work location from/to permanent residence.
- Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area.
- Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.
- Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen.
- Medical benefits: Dental and vision on day 1 for all interns working 32+ hours a week; medical for interns in California working 32+ hours a week.
The hourly range for internships specific to the location is $28/hr-$68/hr and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account: degree level and job-specific domain. You may be eligible for additional compensation as well as access to our medical, dental, and vision programs.
