The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.
The US Rates Structuring Desk based in New York is seeking an Associate or Vice President to help with our growing client facing business. The individual will work with senior salespeople and traders covering a broad array of client types. Responsibilities include prosecuting existing business lines with investors, developing innovating structures to suit client needs, and improving resource utilization. Products covered by the team include government bonds, repurchase agreements, interest rate derivatives, vanilla and exotic options and inflation-linked products.
Key responsibilities:
– Assisting senior structurers in client coverage via trade execution, fielding ad-hoc client requests, and developing marketing materials
– Proactively developing hedging ideas and relative value trade ideas for institutional investor
– Actively monitoring trading books for restructuring opportunitie
– Identifying areas of business and operational inefficiency and proactively implementing improvement

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year for Associate, and $200,000 and $250,000 per year for Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
