Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

A successful candidate will provide training, communications, and graphic design support for Cadmus’ Government Sector/Water Team and will support contracts with EPA and other government clients. This position will provide support work in the areas of drinking water and water quality, specifically topics related to lead in drinking water, environmental justice, and developing training materials for drinking water operators, drinking water state program staff, and the public. Cadmus is seeking a candidate interested in providing support to these programs by developing interactive outreach and training materials. This position will require collaborative work with other team members to create engaging learning and educational activities, compelling course content, and visually appealing and complementary designs. This position will work closely with the subject matter experts and other training, communications, and design team members to develop outreach materials and training projects on time while following established instructional design theories, practices, and methods. Candidate must be creative, adaptive, and energetic, and able to translate instructional directions from storyboards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and outreach support:
    • Develop materials and packages for self-paced on-line training, in-person training, and webinar training events.
    • Develop outreach and communication products, including factsheets and interactive tools, directed towards specific audiences (e.g., states, tribes, water systems, schools and early education providers, or the public).
  • Follow established style guidelines and processes to ensure consistency in the design, development, and delivery of technical training.
  • Use authoring software and multimedia tools for various assigned development projects.
  • Work closely with the project management team, graphic development team and instructional designers.
  • Provide technical solutions during production of materials.
  • Understand storyboards to visualize and execute the concepts described in storyboards.
  • Create Adobe Captivate products. Cadmus will provide on-the-job training in the software.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA with coursework in social sciences, marketing, public health, environmental science and policy, graphic design, business administration, or other relevant area and two + years’ of relocated work experience.
  • Knowledge in Adobe applications including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Captivate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate to produce interactive content, including text, images, video, audio, animations, states, and layers, is a plus.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Interest and background in training, education, and/or outreach and communications.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $60,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
