Shift Requirements
7pm – 7am 3-4 days/week About The Opportunity
Position Summary
Process Technicians are responsible for maintaining and improving all the plastic processes. This includes troubleshooting molds, automation, plastic variables and maximizing efficiency of all operations.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Identify and correct automation issues
- Teach and edit Automation, install and remove EOAT’s
- Improve machine efficiency through Automation uptime and optimization
- Perform mold startups using plastic fundamentals
- Maintain process guidelines through cycle times, E-Darts, clamp movement, etc
- Pull and understand FPI/SA paperwork and Process Variances
- Troubleshoot processing defects
- Use basic electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical fundamentals
- Use milling machine, lathe and drill press
- Troubleshoot switch, lifter, heat, core/ejector/nozzle issues
- Understand all steps of a mold/version change
- Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed)
- Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; is expected to promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities

The classification level will be determined by the training completed per the training matrix
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
- Complete Mezzella Crane training
- Complete Paulson, Systematic I, and MP&D training
- Must be qualified to operate a forklift
- Must be training in LOTO
- Must complete Paulson within 90 days
- Must complete Basic Electricity (eSafety), Systematic I, Fanuc I, Hydraulic (eSafety), Septro I, Mezzella Crane training within 1 year
- Demonstrate basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, structural foam molding and gas assist knowledge
- Must have experience using an Allen Bradley / Xycom controller
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
