Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Human Resources Management Trainee. The Human Resources Management Trainee will develop a foundation of Cintas business knowledge and leadership skills while working hands on with partners to prepare the Management Trainee for critical Human Resources leadership roles within Cintas. We will provide a comprehensive exposure to the responsibilities of a Human Resources professional, as well as a strong knowledge of all aspects of our First Aid and Safety business. The program combines a series of rotations in various locations and classroom seminars.

Responsibilities include:

  • Completing projects and assignments in the areas of Employment Practices and Labor Relations, benefits and compensation, training, development, and staffing.
  • Gain an understanding and working knowledge of Cintas culture, policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, and Cintas business divisions. 2-week rotations in Onboarding, Office/Warehouse, Service, Training & Compliance, and Sales.
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the following: full cycle recruiting, HRIS system, candidate sourcing, meticulous recruiting and hiring procedures, EEO/Affirmative Action, Hiring System, host/plan hiring events and open houses at the locations. Will work closely with Regional Recruiter..
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the following: employment practices, FMLA, ADA Accommodations, Training Compliance, , understanding of HR key performance indicators (including but not limited to): turnover, TIR, AL, Employment Agreements, DOT Compliance, Recruiting and Retention.
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the following: World Class Orientation and Onboarding, Succession Planning, performance management, Coffee Chats, New Manager Assimilations, Diversity Hiring, Employee Relations, and Investigations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks.

Skills/Qualifications

Required:

  • Four-year Degree required (Human Resources or Business degree preferred).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% is required.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Preferred:

  • HR intern or Co-op experience preferred.

Compensation

This compensation information is a good faith estimate and provided in accordance with California local city or state law. Similar positions located outside of this jurisdiction may not necessarily receive the same compensation.

The base salary generally hires at a rate of $66,000/Year. This range is an estimate based on an applicant’s skills and experience.
