To function as the Human Resource Partner (HRP) contact for a college, school, or large department of the University in coordination with the Office of Human Resources. To independently manage human resources services to employees within a large, complex division(s), department(s), college or school. To select applicants during the employment process. To administer human resource policies and serve as front-line advisor to department administrators regarding human resource issues. May act as a liaison between the assigned department and the Office of Human Resources for all academic and non-academic human resource related matters. To ensure departmental compliance with university human resource policies and procedures. Manages faculty and staff recruitment and acts as faculty relations liaison. May supervise administrative staff and manage hr related projects.
Salary Range: $47,665 – $77,455

2. Manages human resources services to employees within a large, complex division(s), department(s), college or school. To select applicants during the employment process.
3. Administers human resource policies and serves as front-line advisor to department administrators regarding human resource issues.
4. May act as a liaison between the assigned department and the Office of Human Resources for all academic and non-academic human resource related matters.
5. Ensures departmental compliance with university human resource policies and procedures.
6. Manages faculty and staff recruitment and acts as faculty relations liaison. May supervise administrative staff and manage hr related projects.
7. Oversees the processing of paperwork necessary to initiate changes to employee pay or employment status. Prepares and/or obtains department head approval of new positions, Position Request Forms, reclassification requests, internal job posting, performance appraisals, salary increases and Turnaround Documents.
8. Maintains departmental human resource files and documentation of departmental actions. Forwards needed documentation to the Office of Human Resource Management for inclusion in the employees’ University personnel file.
9. Responds to inquiries from department administrators, managers, and supervisors regarding procedures to resolve day to day human resource issues. Ensures that all University and departmental procedures are consistently followed in the resolution of those issues. Advises management on the most appropriate action to take for resolution of issues.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
