Responsibilities
The HR Analytics & Innovation Leader will oversee all aspects of business analytics, reporting and automation within HR.
The individual in this role will:
- Lead HR Analytics & Reporting team
- Collaborate with peer functions, specifically IT and Finance, to develop interactive dashboards in Power BI drawing from our data warehouse and related systems that take analytics and reporting to the next level
- Consult to the HR leaders and business through the power of data analytics / insights and foster transparency through data visualizations and reporting; identify alternative analyses and different ways of diagnosing root cause issues that will enable the business to improve performance
- Define metrics, support data collection and curation, standardize data definitions within HR and across Functions
- Support and maintain a regular reporting cadence and consistently deliver accurate reports on time
- Lead an effort to identify and manage automation activities to continuously improve cycle times, reduce manual effort and errors, and position HR for greater efficiencies
- Create ad hoc reports to meet business requirements, including designing and developing complex reports
- Maintain report catalog
- Develop job aids to assist users in knowing where to go for information and what to do to efficiently use dashboards and execute reports
- Collaborate within HR and with other Functions to identify and drive resolution of data quality issues
- Work with stakeholders to fully understand business problems and develop creative solutions for how to present data to tackle those issues
Qualifications
Required
- BS 16-18, MS 14+, Phd 10+
- Advanced skills in the MS Power Platform required; Certification desired
- Experience managing a team
- Extensive experience with Workday report writing, including creating complex calculated fields and composite and matrix reports
- Workday BIRT experience
- Advanced experience with Excel, including Pivots (PowerPivot preferred), Pivot charts, Macros, advanced formula writing, etc.
- Experience using data visualization to deliver meaningful and actionable reporting
- Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Understanding of SQL, data modeling and architecture
- Ability to adapt to and learn new reporting tools
- Strong desire to continually learn and improve upon skills
Preferred
- Experience with data warehouse analysis and design
- While position may be performed remote, preference will be given to candidates local to the mid-Atlantic that can periodically attend meetings at Corporate HQ in Reston, VA

Target Salary Range
$135,000 – $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
