SUMMARY
Under the direction of the AVP of HR Shared Services, the HR Admin – Total Rewards and Employee Wellness administers programs that provide compensation, benefits, recognition/reward, and whole person health wellness that attract, retain, support, and recognize all YGS team members. This role also leads YGS programming in the areas of Leaves of Absence, implementation of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), Accommodations and Workers’ Compensation Claims.

Hiring range: $68,000-80,000/year
Responsibilities
- Administers health and benefits programs and procedures, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes and reconciles monthly billings from providers and resolves discrepancies with carriers, third party administrators, and payroll.
- Administers YMCA Retirement Fund Plan including eligibility, billing, and account reconciliation processes.
- Administers COBRA, including notifications, billing, and compliance.
- Handles retirement and benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
- Support Leave of Absence requests partnering with external vendor to meet all employee needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), working with leaders to deploy their support to staff members and teams as needed.
- Assist YGS employees by explaining benefits programs and helping resolve issues with claims and coverage.
- Prepare and lead audits and other regulatory documentation related to compensation structures, LOA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, and all benefits plans, including retirement. Assist with completion of EEO1, Vets100 and any related government survey compliance and reporting
- Acts as liaison between participants, insurance providers, and broker to resolve benefit related issues.
- Create annually a Total Rewards statement for every employee outlining the investments YGS has made into their employment for that year.
- Assist with annual salary budgeting process, providing input on HR Guidance to be shared with YGS budget managers in the budget development process.
- Coordinate the implementation and update of software used for compensation and salary planning processes. Ensure data integrity through regular audits and analysis.
- Assist with audits and other Benefits projects as needed.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with some flexibility. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years working in related field
- Demonstrated organizational, project management, analytical, critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Ultipro HRIS system experience preferred, but not required
- Must be confident in Microsoft suite products. (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Knowledge of relevant regulations including FLSA, Section 125, FMLA, and COBRA.
- Knowledge of, and previous experience working with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, )
- Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- Experience working with UltiPro/UKGPro
