The role of the Housekeeper is to assist in the daily housekeeping functions of Fellowship Community in accordance with the established policies and procedures and Mission and Core Values of Fellowship Community to assure that federal, state, Joint Commission and local regulations are met.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / CREDENTIALS
• Cleaning experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related facility is preferred.
• High school or equivalent education
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English.
• Must be able to sweep, dry and wet mop, and climb a ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must have an understanding of Geriatrics and Dementia.
• Successful completion of orientation.
• Team-oriented and service focused
• Work performance reflects the essential elements of Fellowship Community’s Core Values.
• Meets requirements of Pre-hire assessment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES
• Assist in preserving a safe environment including but not limited to proper storage of materials, proper handling of soiled articles, proper discarding of disposables and infectious waste, knowledge of emergency procedures, prompt reporting of any unsafe condition, incident, or accident.
• Carry out all procedures in a manner, which limits employee and resident exposure to potential infections. All employees must use universal precautions when dealing with infectious wastes, blood or other potentially infectious materials.
• Maintain confidentiality in all communications
