Enjoy working in an environment that promotes fun and a commitment to community? Plainfield Park District is looking for part-time Guest Services at the PARC facility.
This position will have varied hours that include nights and weekends.
STARTING SALARY
$15.00 per hour, Non-Exempt, Part-time
Performs a variety of customer service functions relating to membership sales, activity registration, facility rentals, programming communication and facility service-desk duties under the direction of the Guest Services Supervisor.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents the District as a point of contact to program instructors, residents, customers, participants during programs.
- Assist customers on the phone, in person, and in written form with all processes and questions providing an exceptional customer service experience and promoting Park District services and facilities.
- Ensure confidential use of customer information, including credit card transactions and household account information.
- Assist customers with registrations, facility/shelter booking, membership sales and point of sale transactions.
- Successfully balance receipts and prepare daily bank deposits.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with residents, customers, vendors, community partners and co-workers.
- Have a solid working knowledge of the RecTrac and WebTrac registration system.
- Accountable for accurately completing all clerical functions accurately and timely according to District guidelines and expectations.
- Responds to internal and external phone calls, e-mails, comments and suggestions in a timely manner.
- Provides accurate information in regard to programs, permits, rentals and registration.
- Maintain cleanliness of front desk area.
- Report to the Facility Manager any repairs and supplies needed.
- Knows, understands and adheres to Park District policies and procedures.
- Maintain a proactive approach to safety and risk management. Report all accidents, incidents and unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
- Performs all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the District’s safety program.
- Performs any additional related tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 yrs. of age.
- C.P.R., AED, and First Aid Certification required; or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire date.
- Candidate must be dependable and able to possess good judgment in difficult situations
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well with the public and other staff.
- Ability to follow direction and work independently.
