Do you want to help customers solve their most strategic challenges through cloud technologies?
AWS is seeking a leader for its AWS Solutions Product & Portfolio Management team to help customers like Formula 1, Cognizant, and Peach use AWS Solutions to address a wide range of challenges including media editing in the cloud, ML model lifecycle management, and data analytics automation.
We’re looking for a senior leader with a combination of technical acumen and business strategy skills. This leader should have experience working across a matrixed organization to build successful software products and bring them to market. You’re as comfortable driving insights from across a broad portfolio of industry and technical solutions as you are diving deep into the customer challenges and the solution features that will meet their needs. Understanding of product management, being able to influence at different levels, and being comfortable with ambiguity are critical attributes for success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
As the Head of AWS Solutions Product & Portfolio Management, you will:
• Provide leadership, strategy, standards, mechanisms, and enablement for distributed Solution Managers and Technical Product Managers (PM-Ts). You are the single-threaded owner of performance insights and process improvements related to AWS Solutions that are used by thousands of customers.
• Drive the synthesis and analysis of solution performance across the portfolio. Identify what’s working, what’s not working, and actions to improve. Be able to communicate succinctly to executive management.
• Manage the AWS Solutions ideation, evaluation, and funding process, and be responsible for all key performance metrics and corresponding reporting for the breadth of AWS Solutions.
• Identify unique AWS Solution opportunities due to your perspective across technical, customer segment, and industry domains. Lead the requirements gathering, business case analysis, and development of these Solutions.
• Help PM-Ts engage work backwards from customers to identify requirements and define new solutions. Work closely with development teams to get those features in our customers’ hands.
• Work closely with engineering and solutions leaders to gain alignment around the solution roadmaps.
• Regularly produce written narratives that describe new features and strategy to take AWS Solutions in bold new directions.
A day in the life
The team’s charter is to develop easy-to-use, repeatable, scalable solutions and go-to-market programs.
