Graphics Marketing Assistant (Seasonal)

Hourly Range: $17.27- $19.40/hr

Job Summary
The Graphics Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting the Graphics Coordinator by concepting and creating engaging visuals for a variety of media and that are on-brand with Milwaukee County Parks.
Work Schedule: The employee must be aware that this position is a temporary position with an end date that is unknown and the employee must commit to a schedule of 30 working hours in a week.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Graphics Coordinator with typography and design projects for the entire Milwaukee Parks System.
- Read and understand design briefs and determine the requirements needed.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop on a PC platform.
- Photography and Editing – Gather, take, and edit photos (using Lightroom) from local parks, botanical gardens, beer gardens and other park attractions.
- Print and Digital Materials – Develop signage, flyers, menus, brochures, and other templates using Canva for internal use.
- Ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Licenses/Certifications and Experience Required
- Valid Driver’s License required and must be maintained during incumbency
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- One (1) year or more of work experience in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design or Branding required
- Basic knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets required
- Intermediate or Advanced level of experience on PC’s using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop required
- Previous experience working with Adobe Creative Suite on PC’s preferred
