TheGrants & Contracts Coordinator provides administrative support to the Grants and Contracts Management team, within the organization’s Finance department. In this role, you will coordinate grants and contracts project plans, including documentation of action items, responsible parties, and due dates, communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to gather details necessary for successful project completion, monitor the submission of contracts, and immediately address or escalate barriers to successful submission. As the Grants & Contracts Coordinator, you will also provide staff support for grants and contracts meetings, serve as a liaison between stakeholders within the Grants & Contracts Management team and other agency leadership, and use moderately complex spreadsheets and databases to maintain and report on grants and contracts details. The Grants & Contracts Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Contract Management.
Candidate qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related field preferred; high school diploma required.
- At least two years’ experience in project management or a closely related role required.
- Demonstrated experience supporting a finance team or another fast-paced executive department required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including the use of complex Excel spreadsheets required.
- Non-profit experience a plus.
- Must be highly organized with a demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize simultaneous projects and align stakeholders to meet critical deadlines.
Job details:
- Compensation: Range starts at $21.63/hr
- Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, 3+ weeks paid time off in the first year including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (PTO increases with tenure); 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here)
- Location: In office 200 West Monroe Street (downtown Chicago loop) daily during first two weeks of training, then 2x/week.
- Schedule: Full-time, hourly. Regular business hours with flexibility as needed.
- Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
