Position Title:

Senior Counsel Ethics and Compliance

Pay Rate:

$143,200 – $190,900

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short-term and long-term incentive plans.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Embrace and foster the IP Way Forward and promote Company Core Values
  • Assist with developing enterprise compliance program strategy and planning
  • Advise on effective compliance program design, implementation, and operation, including industry best practices, as well as business, legal, regulatory, and enforcement developments
  • Review, draft and update compliance policies
  • Develop and coordinate global compliance risk assessment
  • Develop and present compliance training
  • Lead compliance due diligence efforts and provide guidance on results
  • Assist in the development of KPIs and data and analytics to allow for measurement of compliance and ethics program effectiveness
  • Project management

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Law Degree
  • Corporate compliance and ethics, or compliance related areas.
  • In-depth knowledge and clear understanding of the required elements of an effective compliance program, and relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Ability to establish self as subject matter expert in compliance and ethics
  • Team oriented, adaptive, and quick learner
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other legal and business professionals in a complex and fast-paced organization with a focus on delivering crisp and precise guidance
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, and decision-making skills
  • Strong business acumen with broad understanding of business operations
  • Experience driving complex projects to a successful, timely completion
  • Proven track record in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to build effective relationships and networks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
