The Global Edge Automation Product Portfolio Manager leads, manages, and oversees portfolio strategy and portfolio management activities for our Edge Automation Business to achieve growth and profit margin targets. You are responsible for the definition and development of offerings that transform our company’s solutions and services. You’ll work in conjunction with the Region Americas Automation Portfolio team and Building Products portfolio team, and will develop and maintain personal contact with branches to support them with new and current solutions, services, and strategies to maximize results. This is a remote position.
As the Global Edge Automation Product Portfolio Manager, you will:
- Drive requirements for our automation offering with the Building Products Automation and Cloud Team
- Define roadmap for further MMPs in alignment with the product managers
- Validation of MVPs and end to end workflows, planning and execution of pilots
- Prepare and execute roll-out of edge automation offering for Region Americas, jointly with the RSS Region Americas operations team
- Develop business cases and use cases for offerings
- Participate in the development, support, and maintenance of enabling tools
- Responsible for working in conjunction with Segments, Engineering, Analytics Portfolio, Operations, Global, Digital Service Center/CSC, Field, and other cross functional teams, to develop strategies/plans, technology & offerings
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, customers, and decision influencers, across the region, segments, and verticals within the region
- Establish RSS automation innovation team with Regions, and support automation Northstar as derived from the RSS strategy
- Ensure serviceability concepts and team up with RSS automation service team
- Future Responsibilities
- Deliver roll-out activities to other regions globally
- Global portfolio management for the cloud edge automation offering, define priorities for full global development, following RSS Automation strategic priorities
- Define innovative business models for our customers, define automation ecosystem and partner models, and co-create with customers to define future automation offerings
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience with comprehensive knowledge of the Automation Business
- 3-5 years of experience in a corporate organization with matrix interfaces and a reasonable degree of autonomous authority in decision making
- A proficient understanding of key sales, marketing, technical systems, and best practices
- Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make a business case based on opportunity analysis
- Understanding of the Siemens value proposition as well as the competitive landscape
- Ability to travel ~35%
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business education or other technical degree

- The pay range for this position is $97,500 – $167,200 and the annual incentive target is 10%. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
