Responsibilities
Researches and develops the design of missile propulsion system in support of Integrated Technical Evaluation and Analysis of Multiple Sources projects. Serves as the Propulsion Subgroup Lead, leading a team of engineers to include analyzing propulsion subsystems and components of air defense missiles. Analyzes technologies, equipment specifications and performance requirements to define and develop a detailed design of propulsion subsystems (i.e., liquid and solid motor and nozzle design, construction, chemical composition, control devices such as thrust vector and divert and attitude control systems; and the effects of atmospheric and environmental conditions for single-stage and multi-stage propulsion systems) required to meet performance criteria. Evaluates product data and design from source material for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards. Formulates mathematical models or other methods of computer analysis to develop, evaluate, or modify design according to customer engineering requirements. Communicates and collaborates effectively and efficiency with other technical government and contractor engineers assigned to the complex project. Prepares input to written reports and other documentation.
Qualifications
- BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
- Minimum of 7 years of experience of propulsion subsystems and components on supersonic and hypersonic missile systems
- Knowledge of foreign air defense missile systems

Target Salary Range
$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
