Gadget Stocker

CABVI is seeking to fill a Gadget Stocker position. This is a full-time, permanent position in a Union environment. The Gadget Stocker is responsible for providing production support to the Gadget operation.
This position reports to the Asst. Manufacturing Operations Manager. The pay rate for this position is $15.70/hour. This rate is set by a contract and is not negotiable.
Job Duties:
- Stocks employee workstations with correct quantities and types of materials. Checks and restocks workstations independently before employees run out of items.
- Gathers raw materials from pallets in storage.
- Returns unused tock and supplies to proper area for storage and ensures that workstations are clean, safe, organized, and stocked for the next workday. Covers workstation surfaces at the end of daily production and cleans/wipes work surfaces weekly.
- Assists with packaging items that have been completed and inspected.
- Assists with production changeovers by removing items that are not being used and replacing them with correct items.
- Assists with the inspection of gadgets for quality assurance.
- Breaks down and discards empty boxes.
- Performs other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications: (including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, licenses, certifications, and other characteristics)
- Must be able to work independently and multitask.
- Positive attitude and sense of humor a must
Physical Demands:
- Some vision is needed (1) to operate pallet jack and (2) for the inspection of products.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 60 lbs. independently.
- Must be able to continually move between workstations and pallets in storage area.
Work Environment:
- Light industrial indoor manufacturing environment with minimal exposure to noise or other occupational hazards.
- In accordance with CABVI’s Safety Program and OSHA’s standards for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Safety glasses are to be worn while on the production floor, where applicable.
- Safety shoes are to be won while on the production floor, this includes all areas.
