We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our Online Account Originations team at Citizens Bank. As a Fraud Strategy Sr Consultant, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization against fraudulent activities while ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Fraud Detection Expertise: Utilize your 5 to 7 years of extensive fraud detection and prevention experience to proactively identify and mitigate fraudulent activities within our online account originations process.
  • Tool Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in various fraud detection tools such as Threatmetrix, SentiLink, Ekata, Lexis Nexis, Email age, Prove, and other related tools to verify identity and assess risk.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with the team to create effective strategies aimed at reducing false positives and minimizing fraud risks while enabling the business to grow.
  • Adaptability: Exhibit a fast-learning mindset, quickly grasping the intricacies of our business operations and staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging fraud threats.
  • Customer Experience Focus: Maintain a keen understanding of the balance between providing an exceptional customer experience and effectively identifying and preventing fraud.
  • Critical Thinking: Apply your high-level critical thinking skills to assess complex situations, make informed decisions, and develop innovative solutions to emerging fraud challenges.

  • Rule Management: Leverage your experience with Fraud and Risk rules to optimize our fraud detection strategies and rule sets.
  • Data Proficiency: Understand how data works and use data-driven insights to enhance fraud detection capabilities and improve overall risk management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau is a plus, as it will enable you to analyze data effectively and contribute to the development of data-driven fraud prevention strategies.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experienced with Credit Card, Checking accounts and Savings accounts originations.
  • Support Onboarding new projects and initiatives or originations.
  • Help design and own custom strategy performance review process that will make sure rules remain effective and consider Customer Experience.
  • Has the ability to minimize fraud while working with product to enhance overall customer experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in fraud prevention and detection.
  • Proficiency in fraud detection tools such as Threatmetrix, SentiLink, Ekata, Lexis Nexis, Email age, Prove.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Understanding of the delicate balance between fraud prevention and customer experience.
  • Familiarity with Fraud and Risk rule management.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and SQL, Python, and Tableau.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Computer Science) is preferred.

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per week: 40
Work Schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $110,000 – $135,000 plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
