Finance Implementation Team Analyst
Job Description:
This position is part of the Finance Implementation Team, providing support for all finance segments at various times based on need throughout the Workday implementation. The incumbent supports the Finance Implementation Team Leads in a wide range of duties, including process documentation and mapping, communicating with end users to gather requirements and feedback, and performing testing. As well as collaborates with cross-functional teams, including finance, HR, IT, and Research, to define financial business processes for the Workday financial management system.
Examples of Work (These are not all inclusive, nor do they cover the full extent of the duties performed):
- The incumbent performs analysis surrounding current and proposed processes and researches industry accepted best practice business processes. They will document current and future state maps, standard operating procedures, system configurations and other relevant information and assists in the identification and implementation of process improvements and system optimizations.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather business requirements, documents, and assists Leads in translating them into functional requirements. Gains an understanding of software capabilities and software configuration settings including setting up financial structures, chart of accounts, accounting rules, and financial reporting. This position assists in gap analysis to identify areas where customization or system enhancements are required and ensures accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Participates in end user and other stakeholder engagement and coordinates user acceptance testing. Assists in training end users and developing end user training materials and supports end users immediately after system go-live.
Expected Salary:
$75,000 – $85,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- This position must be proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with a large-scale ERP implementation is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of financial processes, accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results within established timelines
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines
- Acts as a change agent to identify and champion process improvement
