Finance Analyst, EDO & Application Support

Overview

Contribute to Pepsi Business Services success by ensuring the integrity of our key systems and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) billing processes through collaboration with application owners, business stakeholders and technology teams. Driving timely resolution of issues, minimizing negative impact to business operations, and serving as a liaison between the business operations and technology teams through all phases of the project lifecycle to deliver tools and functionality that enable end users to drive organizational goals, improve productivity, cash flow, control and to enhance organizational health.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inbound EDI communications, troubleshoot EDI failures from customers and/or requests by business partners in order to resubmit EDI data timely
  • Understand typical EDI guidelines and interpret EDI specifications (e.g., 810, 820, 855, 856, 864, 997, XML)
  • Collaborate with EDI Technical Team to deliver customer’s EDI requirements, ensuring proper setup of EDI Transactions with Customer Specifics
  • Thoroughly test new maps and changes to existing maps prior to moving to the production environment
  • Drive organizational efficiency through automation, technology and streamlining efforts
  • Collaborate with business and technical partners to implement and rollout new processes and systems
  • Serve as liaison between business operations and information systems for requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Define test approach, develop test cases and perform software tests before implementation to confirm solutions meet business needs and quality
  • Support the develop of end-user documentation and training materials as required for new functionality and processes
  • Identify repetitive process and system issues for multiple systems and collaborate with other teams to implement process and technology changes to close gaps
  • Contribute to organizational capability through development of workflow, queries, reporting and metrics monitoring tools
  • Ensure system integrity and acceptable performance levels through constant monitoring and communication
  • Mentor and train new business analysts in project lifecycle activities
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects by planning, setting goals, directing resources, tracking progress, identifying risks and delivering on-time and on-budget

Qualifications

  • 2+ years recent experience with electronic billing, preferably in a functional support role
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in back-office Finance processing (e.g., AR, Payroll, Accounting)
  • Strong PC proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Exceptionally strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Exceptionally strong team orientation and ability to work through others
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work with minimal direction
  • Ability to learn new technology concepts quickly with attention to detail
  • Exceptional strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with multiple levels of internal and external business partners
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to lead, manage and complete multiple concurrent projects involving multiple stakeholders

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • 4-year business, accounting, finance or information systems degree or comparable experience
  • Oracle e-Business Suite, PeopleSoft or ERP experience
  • Project Management Certification

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $67,800 – $85,000 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 5% paid out Annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
