Job Description:

CWC’s Outreach & Communication Circle (OCC) supports the center’s mission in providing intervention and prevention resources to the UF campus community which supports optimal collegiate mental health. The OCC is responsible for ensuring that the UF campus community receives intervention and prevention services & resources which supports collegiate mental health. This includes psycho-education, presentations, campus communications, etc. CWC’s Outreach & Communications Social Media Student Assistant is responsible for supporting CWC’s outreach, marketing and promotion efforts.
Responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with the OCC to implement and improve the CWC’s social media strategy.
• Assisting in planning and producing content for the CWC’s various communication channels, with a focus on video content for our social media platforms.
• Working with individuals outside of the OCC who opt to participate in digital outreach projects (i.e.. CWC counseling staff, CWC AWARE Ambassadors, and/or other UF students/faculty/staff.)
• Researching mental health resources and social media trends relevant to our primary audience.
• Attending (virtual & in-person) outreach events to record and report on the experience. This may include taking pictures and writing reviews to distribute for promotional purposes.
• Assisting with editing audio/video materials.
• Communicating with the OCC in a timely manner via email & Microsoft Teams.
• Other similar duties as directed by members of the OCC.

Expected Salary:

$12/hour

Minimum Requirements:
 Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
 Commitment of 1 year to the CWC Outreach & Communications Circle.
 Ability to work both remotely and on-campus as needed.
 Access to personal computer/laptop and a reliable internet connection.
 Commitment to acquire proper rights for creation and usage of marketing materials.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Willingness to appear in photo and video content.
• Experience with design and/or video/audio editing.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
• Driven, detailed-oriented, and professional.
• Passion for mental health and wellness.
• Access to personal computer/laptop, internet connection
• Previous experience in health field and related sensitivity for health information privacy and confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as carrying or moving outreach materials if needed
• Positive, friendly and professional attitude
• Reliable, good follow-through
