We are seeking a Facilities Technician- Scheduler/Planner to support our facility in Canoga Park, CA.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

40% – Plan and schedule all maintenance (planned, predictive, and reactive) for process and facilities equipment with special attention paid to all regulatory requirements that may apply. This includes all company, local, state, and federal regulations. Interface with maintenance management personnel, TPM Associates and craftsmen on a regular basis to ensure the smooth flow of maintenance tasks and as a prelude to the planning of future maintenance tasks. Work together with craftsmen in proper use of maintenance work orders, plans, and check sheets to ensure that all necessary details and feedback regarding maintenance activities is provided so that proper maintenance history reporting can be performed.Prioritize all work orders for preventive, predictive, and reactive work activities as well as for equipment/plant shutdowns.

20% – Maintain the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all equipment under the responsibility of the maintenance department. Develop and maintain planned and predictive maintenance activities for all equipment requiring maintenance. Maintain accurate backlog of aging orders

15% – Ensure the availability and kitting of all materials and special tools necessary to complete planned tasks.

10% – Ensure the equipment data files and bills of materials (BOMs) are accurate and up to date by identifying new parts and materials requirements due to modifications or upgrades to equipment, and when new items are added or removed from stock due to reliability engineering and/or maintenance engineering activities.

10% – Plan and schedule maintenance activities performed by contract personnel on the plant site. Validate contracted jobs upon completion and document requirements for future changes to the scope, resource requirements, and parts/materials requirements.

5% – Work and support various other improvement projects as required.

Requirements

High School diploma w/5-10 years experience of hands-on maintenance experience. AA/AS degree or Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, preferred.

Ideal candidate is familiar with planning work for the following trades: Electricians, Maintenance Machine Mechanics, Test Mechanics & Oilers. Will also be back-up for HVAC mechanics, Equipment Construction Mechanics, Plumbers & Material Handlers with knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements.

Experience with MAESTRO or other work order control systems.

Ablity to work with Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint.

Ability to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic environment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

Pay range for this position:

$30.00 – $40.00
